England Take On New Zealand With Place In Final Up For Grabs

New Delhi: The ongoing T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman is about to reach its end. The 1st semi-final of the marquee event will be played today, where a Kane Williamson-led New Zealand will clash against 2010 champions England at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi in their quest for maiden title win.

The kind of performances Eion Morgan-led England has shown throughout the tournament certainly makes them one of the best T20 teams in the world, but it has not been an easy journey for them as they had to deal with injuries as well. England suffered a major setback after opener Jason Roy and fast bowler Tymal Mills were ruled out of the tournament due to injuries.

England lost against South Africa in their last match of the Super 12 stage. In the absence of injured Jason Roy, England have an army of talented batsmen, who are all set to deliver and power England to T20 World Cup title for the second time. For England, players like Butler, Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali have emerged as star performers, who have the ability to turn the game in their favor in just few overs.

New Zealand, on the other hand, would like to play well against England, inspired by their consistent performances in ICC tournaments. BlackCaps had defeated India in the final of the World Test Championship a few months back. Apart from this, the Kiwis had defeated England in the Test series at their home before this match.

England Possible XI: Jos Buttler (wk), Jonny Bairstow, Dawid Malan, Moeen Ali, Eoin Morgan (c), Sam Billings, Liam Livingstone, Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan, Mark Wood, Adil Rashid

New Zealand Possible XI: Martin Guptill, Daryl Mitchell, Kane Williamson (c), Devon Conway (wk), Glenn Phillips, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Adam Milne Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Trent Boult
