Former India Captain Rahul Dravid Applies For Cricket Team Head Coach Position BCCI Source

New Delhi: Ex-India skipper Rahul Dravid has applied for the position of Indian cricket team’s head coach, news agency ANI reported. As per media reports, Dravid has agreed to become the head coach of Team India after the T20 World Cup. Recently, Dravid was associated with Team India as head coach in the limited overs series against Sri Lanka. The tenure of the current India head coach Ravi Shastri is ending after the T20 World Cup. Dravid can take over as the head coach of Team India after the World Cup gets over.  

The report in ANI also suggested that ex-India batsman VV Laxman is in the race to take over Rahul Dravid as National Cricket Academy (NCA) head. 

“Yes, Dravid has applied for the position of Team India head coach and Laxman is definitely in the race to take over as NCA head. Talks are on and we have to see how it goes,” a source told ANI.
