New Delhi: Harbhajan Singh, who last played for team India in the 2016 Asia Cup, has played more than 100 Tests, 200-plus ODIs and 28 T20Is for India. He was also part of India’s two World Cup winning teams.
Harbhajan had managed to make it to the national team by showcasing his skills as a spinner in the Under-19 World Cup.
Many years later, Harbhajan remembered his U-19 days by posting a picture on social media on Friday, in which he is accompanied by other two young players of Pakistan’s U-19 team. The photo posted by Harbhajan is from the Under-19 World Cup, which was played in 1998-99.
“Pehchano to maaane.. U-19 World Cup days 1998/99,” Harbhajan wrote in the caption of his post.

The photo features Pakistan’s Imran Tahir and Hasan Raza along with Harbhajan. Imran, who played for Pakistan, later played in international cricket for South Africa.
Tahir has played Under-19 cricket for Pakistan, which was played in South Africa at that time. In the photo, Tahir is shirtless while Harbhajan is in the middle and on his left is Pakistan’s Hasan Raza.
Harbhajan Singh Likely To Announce Retirement From Competitive Cricket
Harbhajan played a few matches for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the first leg of IPL 2021 but did not play a single match in the UAE leg.
As per PTI, the legendary spinner is expected to officially announce his retirement from competitive cricket next week and after that he is expected to decide on one of the offers to join the support staff in one of the high-profile franchises. If this happens, Harbhajan will retire with 700-plus wickets in international cricket.
