Pakistan Vs Bangladesh Shaheen Afridi Apologises To Afif Hossain Video For Losing Cool During Pak V Ban 2nd T20I, PCB Shares Video

New Delhi: Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi on Saturday personally apologized to the Bangladesh batsman Afif Hossain after the former had almost left him injured during the second T20I in Dhaka. In that match, after Hossain hit a six off Shaheen Afridi’s delivery, the frustrated Pakistani speedster failed to control his temper and threw the ball towards him on the next delivery which hurt him badly.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday released a video in which Shaheen can be seen walking towards Hossain after the match to apologize for his ‘wild aggression’. The star fast-bowler smiled and hugged the Bangladeshi batsman.

Shaheen’s unnecessarily aggressive behavior was neither liked by the Pakistani team management nor the PCB, prompting the fast bowler to immediately apologize to Afif.

Talking about the series, Pakistan have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series after winning the second T20I. Reportedly, on-fled the behavior of another fast bowler Hasan Ali has also not been liked by the Pakistan cricket team management.  Hasan was also reprimanded for his actions after he dismissed Bangladeshi batsman Nurul Hasan in the first T20.

After opting to bat first, Bangladesh managed to score 136/6 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam starred with the bat as he played an unbeaten knock of 66 runs off 44 balls to help his team post 137/1 in just 16.4 overs to pocket the series.

“I give credit to senior players, they help me a lot in the field. We needed that victory as a team. Youngsters have done well in this series and that is important as we want more options for the T20 WC. We would like to give chance to players sitting on the bench in the final game,” Babar said after the match.
