T20 World Cup: South Africa will face Sri Lanka in their third match of the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup. Both teams have won and lost of the two matches they have played so far. Sri Lanka won against Bangladesh but failed to impress with the ball against Australia. On the other hand, South Africa also lost their match against Australia and won against West Indies.

After much talk about Quinton De Kock being part of the South Africa side, it was confirmed at the toss by Bavuma that the South African wicket-keeper would be part of the XI that plays against Sri Lanka. De Kock had not taken the knee and had withdrawn from playing against West Indies.

De Kock said, he felt ‘what happened on match day could have been avoided’ and said that his only problem was with the threatful nature of the directive by CSA. De Kock said, “there was an instruction that we had to follow, with a perceived ‘or else’”.

“Quinton comes in for Klaasen. The team is feeling much better, de Kock is in a much better state,” said Temba Bavuma, the SA skipper.

South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first.
